Pink Notes on Broken Computer

Hi. Quick question. My computer that has the Pink Notes (v4) master is broken and can't be repaired. I was wondering what is my best bet to move the master to another machine? Do I have to be able to boot the old machine and connect to the network in order to disable the old master first? I am able to get to the hard drive to copy the *.mdb files.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

If you are using version 4.x, then you can follow the instructions on this page:

Essentially, you want to install PNP on the new master computer, and copy all of the MDB files, and user folders from c:\program files\pnp4\master on the old computer to the same location on the new computer, overwriting the existing files.

I am assuming that once these (and perhaps other) files have been removed from the old machine, it will be taken off of the network. This is good because you never want to have 2 Masters running on the same network.
