Thanks for the suggestions!
Cannot change User Name, need too. Say a person gets married and has a name change OR somewhere down road you realize you made a spelling error in user's name.
We already have a plan to make your first change in PinkNotes® v5. In version 4 - this can be done by deleting the user, and creating a new user by the correct name.
Example, say you have a user named MARY and it needs to be changed to MARIE. Delete the user MARY. Then, on the computer that has the PinkNotes® Master software running on it
- Shut down the PinkNotes® Master Software
- Explore the hard drive and navigate to C:\PROGRAM FILES\PNP4\MASTER\ (Default Location)
- Find the MARY folder, and rename it to MARIE
- Restart the PinkNotes® Master software
- Create the new user MARIE - MARIE should have all of her messages intact. Only her user settings would need to be re-established.
Would like ability to be able to "Hide" specific Users and\Or Groups from certain User Groups or Individual users
We do plan for PinkNotes® v5 to also have a more elaborate permissions system that will optionally tie into Active Directory. At this time, it would be tough for me to say for sure that this exact feature will be available, but we will do our best to give you a solution to this.
